I’m still a bit new to soldering..but i’m looking for a handy tool that will do me best (not a razor blade etc) that will do a clean job in cutting the track on a circuit board. thanks in advance

What is the main idea of this?

Hello everyone.

I have to extract the main idea of the following text, but I’m utterly confused. Take a look:

Computers are electronic machines for processing data. Data are pieces or items of information that have been proper prepared so that the machine can work with them. Processing means handling or manipulating the material that has been presented to the machine in such ways as performing calculations, classifying information or making comparisons. A computer is made of millions of electronic devices that can store the date or switch them through complex circuits with differentes functions at incredible speeds.

The collection of devices that constitute a computer are technically known as a computer system. This system consists of functional components, or parts, for input, storage, control, processing, and output. All general-purpose computer systems has these components, but their physical characteristics may vary

The main storage, control and processing components constitute the heart of the computer system. The central processing unit (CPU) has been designed by the manufacturer to control and carry out basic instructions to that particular computer. It is here that the data processing is done. The C.P.U has two components, called the control and arithmetic units. Input and output are handled by machines that are called I/O devices.

What confuses me is that I do not see a real main idea, except for the components of a computer.
So, what do you think is the main idea? (I have to underline it)

Thanks in advance

Would the finished circuit baord work the same? I want to make a single sided printed circuit board, but all I have is a double sided. Would it be okay to use to double sided and still get a working board?
Thanks In Advance

Electronic Nightmare! Possible fusible link?

I have a 89 Camaro RS that has electrical issues up the wazoo. The previous owner hotwired different circuits to bypass a failing computer. So i paid 0 to get the wiring put back to factory, but now I have another problem.

Driving down the road one day, my car suddenly lost all power and sputtered to a stop. I was on my way back to work and was in a hurry. It ended up starting back up like normal after a few minutes and continued driving. Not much further it died again and didn’t turn back on.

I don’t have hazard lights, any ignition response whatsoever, radio, power windows, or gauges. I do have head lights and lights backlighting the gauges. My rear hatch opens, and other than that it is all out. I checked to make sure the battery terminal was connected.

I am definitely not an electrician and would like to receive some sort of guidance regarding this frustrating situation. Thanks in advance.
Any links to pictures would be helpful

I'm trying to find an electronic circuit project that uses any of the logic gates (and, or, not, nand, etc.) that will fit our budget of 500 pesos (about 10-11 dollars). It only needs to contain a single logic gate and the rest can be other materials.

Any and all help would of course be greatly appreciated..

Thanks in advance.. :D

I have a couple electronic pachinko machines, a Nishijin "Elfin" and a Daiichi "3-One-Model".

A friend says the knob will only work if the machines are hooked up to a cash machine. That enables a servo or stepper motor, which operates the ball-driving mechanism.

I see the connectors where the cash machine interfaces. My question is, is it a simple job of electrically tying some digital inputs high/low, or would I need to emulate a more complex communication protocol (i.e. "act like a cash machine") to get the knob to work?

Or is there some other way to enable the motor elsewhere on the circuit board. (I am an engineer, so you do not need to simplify the explanation)

Thanks in advance!
Everything works except for the knob. I can load it with balls and shoot them by manually reaching into the back of the machine and flipping the lever. The video works normally, and the machine pays out jackpots.

I think disabling the knob is for security – so the machines cannot easily be tricked into working without the cash machine in the circuit.

I just recently brought myself a car(2002 Honda Accord EX SE). Because I hate MANY of the radio stations I listen to, I would prefer to listen to my own music. Does anyone know where I can find a good and mess free or minimal mess wire hook up? Or maybe a good electronic store(Best Buy, Circuit City) that has one that I can go to. Thanks in Advance.

Where can I buy a brake light circuit board?

Anyone know of a website where I can order a brake light circuit board for a 1994 Nissan Maxima? Thanks in advance.
