I'm taking an introductory electronic circuits/components class, and I'm having trouble understanding specifically how a 555 timer chip works.
What seems to confuse me most is what all the pins signify. I understand pin 2 is the trigger, and 3 is the output, along with 1 as ground, but other than that, I'm not sure the role of the other pins.
Any help would be appreciated. I checked the wikipedia page, but it was slightly confusing.
1. A battery in a flashlight is an example of:
A. Wet cell
B. Dry cell
C. Alternating current
D. Parallel circuit
2. The resistance in a wire will increase if:
A. The thickness of a wire is decreased.
B.Temperature of a wire is increased
C.The length of the wire is increased.
D. All of the above
3. Most circuits in the home are:
A. Series circuits
B. Parallel circuits
C. Electronic Circuits
D. Short circuits
4.(not multiple choice)
What is the term used for a series of electrochemical cells ?
in which site can i get good error- free electronic circuit diagrams that i can rely on for a project???
i am doing B.E. in electronics and communication.i have some basic ideas in electronic circuits, electronic devices.i am intrested in security alarms, sensors and detectors, digital and analog circuits and related topics.so plz suggest some good websites that have such reliable circuits.
im doing a project that deals with the light spectrum– i would like to know if theres a way to see invisable light using emitting and detecting diodes to show that this certain light exists even tho its not visable to the human eye– but can be detected using electronic circuits on a circuit board– thanks
I'm a high school student and I'm trying to design the PCB layout for my Electronics project.
Take a look at this schematic diagram http://www.electronic-circuits-diagrams.com/audioimages/14.gif
I don't get what V-, V+, RLO, SIG, RHI, REF OUT, REF ADJ, MODE mean. Why are these labels placed on the legs of the IC?
As for the two grounds, what/where am I supposed to connect them to?
And what/where am I supposed to connect to the Audio Inputs?
Actually, I was planning on using this Audio level meter (http://www.electronic-circuits-diagrams.com/audioimages/audiockt14.shtml) for my AM Radio circuit.
In electronic circuits, what are the 3 major causes of failure in transistors.
what is the best electronic circuit simulation software ?
and if it matlab .. is there is any other useful library for electronic circuits that includes microcontroller ?
plz name the electronic circuit components used in electronic circuits….
and the power supply needed to them
that means whether AC od dc
thnx
i know what is earthing.I want to ask why electronic circuits as wein bridge oscillator and amplifier r always grounded if ground pot. is always zero then all current will go through ground only
for ex. in Wein bridge Oscillator one of the capacitor will be useless to pass current in lead lag circuit
