Some Li-Ion battery include a small electronic circuit that protects the shuts off the battery in the event of overcharging, dropping too low in voltage under load, etc. On a cylindrical battery, it would be about 2mm longer than one without protection.
Is there a way to tell, either through the code of the battery, or through a simple electrical test, whether a given battery is protected or not?

Please help me……..?

Investigate the properties of thermistors and discuss, using simple circuit diagrams, how a thermistor might be used as part of an electronic circuit to monitor and control the temperature of an incubator for a baby born prematurely.

how capacitor work in DC & AC circuit?

i have been study in electronic circuit about capacitor, but i don’t understand it.. i only know capacitor is charge and discharge component.. also, what is the different about polarity and non polarity capacitor is it different function…? can someone help me..
can someone give me a detail answer…
if one electrolytic capacitor is connected parallel with DC voltage, parallel LED with serial resistor and connected to another DC circuit.. what will happen with capacitor..?

Electronic Keypad Lock (120V ON/OFF)?

I’m looking for an electronic lock w/ keypad. I’m looking for something to open/close and electronic circuit (like to turn on/off a light bulb). I’ve searched all over the internet, only finding electronic DOOR locks (I don’t want to use these). I was hoping to find one that has 12 keys (0-9, #, ΣΎ), an LED/LCD display (to show keys hit, open/close, or anything else), and 3 LED’s (they would be to indicate ELECTRICITY FLOWING, CORRECT, INCORRECT). Anyone know where I could find something like this? Thanks!

Why are voltage regulators necessary?

I’m still have a lot to learn about electronics and I’m getting there but I’m still having trouble understanding a few concepts.

When building an electronic circuit with components, why would you need to purchase a voltage regulator. From what I understand it keeps a voltage constant

But why wouldn’t you just use some sort of resistor combination to get the voltage you need from a load resistor and just build the rest of your circuit off that.

I’m talking about on a small scale like when building circuits on breadboards.

How could i design an electronic circuit to automatically switch on & switch off the generator ?

I want to use generator for home usage. I want to make an electrical panel that consist of an electronic circuit which switch on the generator when the electricity (provided by the company) is failed and switch it off when electricity (provided by electric supply corporation) starting to flow.

how can i do that ? what would be the cost ? what things should we need to achieve that task ?

thanks

If you are one of them, do you call people ‘gravitationists’ if they believe the theory of gravity?

Do you also call people ‘acousticists’ (acoustic theory) , ‘musicists’ (music theory) or ‘circuitists’ (electronic circuit theory)?

If not, why not? Why not call people ‘gravitationists’ if they accept the gravitational (general relativity) theory?

I want a user friendly software that uses a drag and drop approach to design a electronic circuit, measure current or voltage between any points, some basic components in it like resistors, transistors, capacitors etc… Do you know any software like that?
Sheldon, i wanted a drag and drop type software. not a programming software..

and Blackstreet you dipshit, your software doesnt allow me to test the circuit.. it allows me only to build it and chuck it out of window.
All these dipshits got the answer wrong.
All of these are only drawing software. But i wanted a software with which you can test the actual circuit.

I have just started with bread board electronic circuit, which is nails on a wood board connected by wires and Components. I have made a flasher which is just 2 flashing LE-D’s, But is there a free program to Design and test a virtual circuit board? were you physicaly place components andConnectt them to see the results? I do have a physics program at school that does it sort what im talking bout its called crocodilee physicss" is there a free circuit board designin softwar spicilyly made for electronics, were you make and test you creationsn virtually lbeforeo actually making them in real life?

What is power?…more in description?

Any simple/precise answer to these questions will be appreciated. Thanks!
1. What is the basic equation for power (in terms of amps + ohms)?
2. What is the purpose of a resistor?
3. Which is a more efficient electronic circuit: parallel or series?
4. Why do scientists refer to current (I) as if it flows from positive to negative when, in actuality, electrons flow from negative to positive?
5. How are static friction coefficients calculated?
6. What is diffraction?
7. How are electric fields/magnetic fields created?
8. Do each of these fields induce a corresponding force?
9. What is the Law of Induction?
10. How does one change the magnetic field?
11. What is magnetic flux?
12. What is electric flux (if that even exists)?
13. How does flux affect Induction?
14. Is there a way kinetic energy (like a treadmill or stationary bike) could power a light bulb with electromagnetic induction?
