Diodes Electronic Circuit Question?

How would I solve the output voltage for these? I don’t know because all the diodes look different. What is the math and formulas used to solve these?

Here is a picture of the circuits.

Recovering gold from circuit boards and stuff?

I have over 200 or so non working old NES cartridges and lots of other boards from other electronic what-nots . I broke one open and the fingers and lines seem to be gold. I heard you could recover gold from the boards and stuff, should I remove the flat black boxes and diodes or what-nots or will they melt down and evaporate?

what is something constructive i can do?

i want something that will exercise the brain. i have one of those electronic things where u have the diodes and stuff and make circuits and crap. but that looks boring. my hobbies are basketball, producing music, parkour and cars. too sunny to play b ball and it's sunny. don't really feel like producing. where the crap am i supposed to learn parkour. what the crap am i supposed to do with my car? fuel cost too much. i don't unnecessarily want to do something relating to my hobbies. just as long as i exercise my brain and imagination.

Electronic circuitry?

I want to learn how to make circuits. I know what most parts do (resistors, diodes, capacitors, etc) but I dont know how to use them together. Also, I am lost when it comes to gates and chips. Any sites or Explanations?

Please explain this INVERTER circuit

hi i am a freshman n i ve made a 60watts inverter for my Electronics project. i only ve some concepts abt the diodes n bjts thats all cause im a beginner, i ve my viva tomorrow so can anyone tell me the basics of this ckt in easy language n tht wht is the particular component for what is it doing n all. they wont be going into the deep but i need to ve some rudimentary knowledge atleast. thnks
thanks for your valuable feedbacks. Sir, those are just typos. I would be more meticulous the next time i post a question.

A really tough question/challenge for those electronic savvy people out there:

I have 12 SUPER Bright LED's and a 12-Volt power source. Is there a circuit schematic available online that will let me use all 12 LED's and light them up like that famous Knight Rider car (KITT) from the '80's?

Notes:
—the LED's require about 5 Volts for max light intensity, but a little less is acceptable, so we can say 2V to 5V
—I have access to random IC's (LM555CN/NE555N/74154N) just to name a few, plus numerous resistors/capacitors/diodes (or buying is always an option)
—I have a good understanding of circuits, but I am in the early stages of being able to design them. So any kind of schematic will do (as long as it is clear)
—To make this an more challenging question, the preferred display involves the LED's to turn on (as it cycles) and to FADE off (just like the show's car)

Thanks in advanced

im doing a project that deals with the light spectrum– i would like to know if theres a way to see invisable light using emitting and detecting diodes to show that this certain light exists even tho its not visable to the human eye– but can be detected using electronic circuits on a circuit board– thanks

Recently, I have taken a liking to building simple electronic circuits using component parts (resistors, capacitors, transistors, IC's, diodes, etc.) and such found at Radio Shack. I have, however, become more skillful, and have moved on to more complex circuits. I am not able to find a lot of the parts that I need (more specifically, a lot of the IC (Integrated Circuits) and similar parts) at Radio Shack. What I am asking is basically this: Does anyone know any online stores where I can buy these types of parts, preferably at a cheap price?

The only thing that I understand about capacitors is that they are an open circuit in DC and they have impedance in AC circuits. I just don't understand the purpose of a capacitor. I know that it charges and discharges and provides a time constant when included with a resistor. Please explain the purpose of a capacitor, when included in circuits using transistors and diodes
