I have recently gotten in the habit of taking off electronic components from motherboards, circuit boards, etc. and I want to know what the capacitance is of the capacitors I take off.
Any help?

I have small battery powered electronic toy that makes sound. I would like to amplify the sound to make it louder. I have a very basic knowledge of electronics, so I could add small capacitors or resistors to some wires, but anything involving complicated circuit boards or actually rewiring the toy itself are pretty much out of the question. Thanks…

What is the best material to ship circuit boards in other than special non-electric static bags? I have newspaper, bubble wrap, tin toil, plastic, etc? Thanks so much! 10 POINTS BEST ANSWER

A PC was partially disassembled so you can see its circuit boards, and put in a basement. Now there have been several basement floods and I am not sure whether or not the circuit boards were damaged by water. Is there a way to know for sure? And if the PC was damaged, is there a way to fix it?

The parts have been accumulating there for years, complete with pieces of solder, various circuit boards and loose electronic components. Shouldn't it have evolved into some form of computer by now, complete with operating system?
Hmmm, maybe I need to throw some pure silicon on the pile and start adding additional heat. Would that work?

Is it dangerous to handle such things (such as circuit boards, resistors, wiring, etc) with ones bare hands?
