I am trying to fix a keyboard and I need electronic help… please see description below…?
I have a keyboard that I am trying to help a friend fix. The problem is that when you turn the power on the power light indicator only stays lit for a second or so and then goes out. We took it apart to see if there was something on the board/ circuits and there seemed to be something so we cleaned it with alcohol. I checked to make sure there weren't any connections that needed to be soldered. Any ideas or suggestions that I could try besides taking it to a repair shop??? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

#1 The owner's manual doens't go into anything electronic, actually- I have never seen one that does.
#2 I have fixed many things without a "good knowledge of electronics" and so I think that I do stand a chance. I wouldn't have opened it up if I thought I wouldn't stand a chance.
I appreciate all of your help, but unless you have a real solution then I hope you enjoy your free points you earned from posting such a helpful response to my sincere question. THANKS!

You need two things.
1) The unit's service manual.
2) A good knowledge of electronics.
Without either of those prerequisites you stand no chance.
