I am doing a project involving reed switches and would like to know something about their applications in practical electronic circuits. Want it ASAP.
I have found out their uses in reed relays and stuff like that. I want to know how they are used in burglar, proximity alarms etc. and what is their exact working role in them.

I am a novice to electronic circuits and am trying to make something for my kids. I want a circuit that, when activated, turns on a set of LEDs then after a few seconds turns the initial lights off and lights up a second (different color) set of LEDs. Thanks for the help

I am buying a multimeter that measures frequency in circuits (AC and DC). What is the difference between electronic frequency and the airwave frequency?
What exactly is frequency anyways? How "frequent" something happens?
Thanks!

CFL stands for Compact Fluorescent Lamp, and some people feel that as it has a circuit, it is a electronic device

I need a circuit to control a mirror ball.
I want the motor to go in forward and reverse according to the music input signal (or a base pulse generated from elsewhere in the circuit)
I was considering using a diff op amp. one input has the input from a 555 and one has the bass input. But this does not work as i would hope.
To run the motor in forward and reverse, i will need to be able to get a +ve and -ve output to drive the motor.
It doesn’t matter if it doesn’t really move with the music, just some sort of connection to the music!

What is the best material to ship circuit boards in other than special non-electric static bags? I have newspaper, bubble wrap, tin toil, plastic, etc? Thanks so much! 10 POINTS BEST ANSWER
