What field deals with circuitry?

I’d like to learn more about circuit design/how to build circuits by reading the source
things for making any electronic device, fans, power inverters, converters, heating devices and so on.

What field of Engineering or otherwise deals in this stuff?

This really seems to fascinate me but I don’t know what to major in university to do this: electrical, electronic, computer engineering? Also, do these jobs get outsourced much, or is there good job stability. Who would be some major employers?

A lowpass butterworth filter is required with frequency response within shaded areas. Find minimum required order of filter n and it’s 3dB bandwidth B. For numerical calculations assume the following values: a1=-.2dB @ f1=10kHz, a2=-20dB @ f2=30kHz, confirm filter satisfies the requirements.

Charles Watts Electronics manufactures the following six peripheral devices used in computers especially
designed for jet fighter planes: internal modems, external modems, graphics circuit boards, floppy disk drives,
hard disk drives, and memory expansion boards. Each of these technical products requires time, in minutes, on
three types of electronic testing equipment as shown in the following table:

a) Formulate this problem as an LP model.
b) Solve the problem by computer. What is the best product mix?
c) What is the value of an additional minute of time per week on test device 1? Test device 2? Test device 3?
Should Watts Electronics add more test device time? If so, on which equipment?
