Electronic Circuit Capacitor Archives

ue of resistors capacitors diodes ETC to use?

I need software to calculate unkown elements in electronic circuit design. Like resistors, capacitors, etc. To change values and watch changes. Thank you forward!

Asuem no current flowed in the series RC cirvuitbeacause of an open circuit. How could you quickly determine if the resistor or the capacitor were open?

What electronic component is abbreviated "RA"?

I saw a circuit board today with a component I haven’t seen before and can’t find online. It looks like a cross between an IC and a capacitor. It had 8 pins all in one line and there were black ones and red ones.

I need help with 5 science questions?

1. Information sent as patterns and codes in the controlled flow of electrons through a circuit is a(an)
electronic signal.
digital signal.
analog signal.
integrated signal.

2. Which of the following is made from a crystalline solid that conducts a current only under certain circumstances?
vacuum tube
cathode-ray tube
analog devise
semiconductor

3. A thin slice of silicon that contains many solid-state components is a(an)
transistor.
integrated circuit.
diode.
cathode-ray tube.

4. What solid-state component in a mobile phone maintains proper voltage levels in the circuits?
transistors
capacitors
diodes
microchips

5. A complete path through which charge can flow is an electric ____________________.
it isn’t homework, I would appreciate it if you would not cuss k thx.

I think it is a resistor, but might be a capacitor or something else. It is beige in color with no color bands on it, i know usually a resistor has color bands on it. Also the resistor ones on the circuit board has color bands, and is called with the letter R in front of it, the one that I need to replace has a C in front of the circuit number. Can anyone tell me how to determine what to get on this? Its not long and skinny like most resistors, with color bands, its about 3/16" long and almost egg shaped. There is a 1.5 amp fuse on the board that blew, i could only find a 5 amp to replace. I know that is why it probably burnt in two, do have the correct fuse now. Thanks
On the burnt one, the best i can tell with a magnifing glass is it has this on it.
RSC 104
Some of the other ones that look the same has this on them as well, though hard to tell even with a mag glass.

I need help with a physics assignment (circuits)?

I’m struggling to find an Electronic device to do my assignment on. I don’t want people to do it for me, I just need help finding something basic to do it on, helpful websites and some tips.

Task: You are to select an electronic device that is used commercially. You are to describe the circuity of this device, explaining how the circuit works as well as explaining in detail the electronic components that make up this device. You may need to research components such as variable resistors, transistors, diodes and capacitors.
Your report will need:
- A circuit diagram of the major components
- An explanation of how each device works
- An explanation of each component and its function

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

how capacitor work in DC & AC circuit?

i have been study in electronic circuit about capacitor, but i don’t understand it.. i only know capacitor is charge and discharge component.. also, what is the different about polarity and non polarity capacitor is it different function…? can someone help me..
can someone give me a detail answer…
if one electrolytic capacitor is connected parallel with DC voltage, parallel LED with serial resistor and connected to another DC circuit.. what will happen with capacitor..?

electronic circuits please help?

with the transistor, thermistor and capacitor, can you show me how to make a circuit which:
a) turn on an alarm when the temperature is reached to 40 *C
b) turn one alarm 9 seconds after the contact is activated.

Thanks

Where can I find a 4.7pf Capacitor?

I went to radio shack and purchased all the components I need for a circuit. Except a 4.7pF capacitor. It doesn’t have to be exactly 4.7, it said around 4.7pF. I don’t really want to buy 1 dollars worth of something online. Does anyone know what kind of electronic device I could find one in? And how to read the value, or a link to read the value. Also where could i find a small trimmer capacitor, or variable capacitor? What devices, Thanks, Tim
